... global warming problems and solution ...

Everyone knows these days that global warming is a big problem in our life. Global warming has increased more than before. Of course there are many causes for this problem, also there are many solutions that the scientists have discovered. In this blog. I’m going to write a problem-solution report about global warming and give a some solution to solve the problem.

There are many problems causes the global warming. I’ll talk about the most important issues. The first problem that causes global warming is the effect on animals. In general, It effects the lives of the animals and their lifestyle for many countries.(WWF). That means if the climate changed 1 C, it will have effects in big ways. Imagine it changing to 5 C? It will be a disaster. Another problem caused by global warming is raising sea levels.( Hobby) The sea level will increase by “no more than 6m” and will cover the islands near the coast. A third problem is the increase of carbon dioxide. If it increases the carbon dioxide level, the temperature of the earth will rise and it will become more and more hot.

Although there are lot problems for global warming, also there are several things we can do to solve the problem of global warming. One solution is to use clean technologies. The clean technologies will decrease carbon dioxide by 51%. Another solution is to plant the earth with more trees.(website ELPC) When the trees breathe, they take the carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. A third solution is to use electricity instead of fuel and gasses. When the people depend more on electrical energy the carbon dioxide will decrease.

Overall, in my opinion global warming can be controlled if we control our lifestyle and try to not do things not necessary. However we should try to use less cars and big machines that create a lot of carbon dioxide. Each small change in our life that will have an effect on the earth.

The Advantages and disadvantages of using the laptops in the ADMC or the colleges.

30 years ago the people did not have a lot of modern things like us. Nowadays we have web, Laptop and computers. These modern machines are making our life easier if we use them in the right way. Like in the colleges as the ADMC is doing.

There are a lot of advantages in using the laptop in the ADMC. The most important one is that the world is changing very fast and when we have our laptop we can keep up with the world. The second one is that we can do our homework at home, in the coffee shops or in the malls. So the life becomes easy. Another benefit is that the students have a lot of projects so they can do it at home. That’s when they need the laptops.

however. Certain disadvantages to having a laptop in the ADMC. One major drawback is that the students use it in the class while the teacher is talking so they don’t know what he said. Another important disadvantage is that some students do not use it in the right way they use it to waste their time.

Although there are some disadvantage to having a laptop in the ADMC. I think the benefits outweigh the drawback. Therefore I will use my laptop in the ADMC

... Smoking ...

Nowadays there are a lot of bad habits like drugs, alcohol and the worst one is smoking because it cause very dangers effect however, about 4000 kids between 12-17 start smoking every day and about half of 650 million people smoking regularly. I will discuss about Health effect, money effect and effect of quit smoking.

The world health organization has named tobacco one of the greatest health threats of the twenty-first century.because it cause a lot of problem that may affect smokers like Cardiovascular disease or diseases of the blood vessels and heart, includes heart attack and aortic aneurysm. However smoking causes 85% of all lung cancers and 14% of all cancers-among, also it cause lung disease and other health problems like breast cancer. It was the leading cause of cancer death among women in the United States.

Another problem is the money problem. The smokers spend lot of money, if one pack cost about $4.50 on average and if the person use one pack a week that’s mean he will spend about $234 a year but if he use two packs it will cost him $1642 a year.

There is a big relationship between the time that person lie and the number of the cigarette he or she smokes a day, Moreover the risk of lung cancer decreases about 18 time the rate of nonsmokers from one two four years from quitting and about 7 times at five to nine years, to below than 2.1 at 20 plus years. However weight gain is one of the side effect but people lose weight instead of gain weight.

To conclude, the smoking is a slow suicide because you call all the disease to your body. However there are a lot of bad effect and there isn’t any good effect in smoking. If you care about your health you will not smoke at all and you help the others to quit.

ARE COOL CITIES PRACTICAL?

The 20th century cities contribute to global warming by increasing in energy consumptions, traffic delay and rising population. That’s why the idea of cool cities like masdar city created to reduce the emission of CO2. In cool cities they use new technology and renewable energy in buildings and transportation .However I disagree with the idea that cool cities are practical because of some main reasons.

The first reason is that there are too many people live in the earth. However, cool cities cannot hold many people. For example masadar city designed for only 47500 populations . There are about 6,778,763,974 populations in the earth. That’s mean we need about 142710 cool city to make all the people live in cool cities. Moreover, the good places are already taken to make cities so it will be very difficult to find suitable places to build them. It is impossible to destroy the old cities to build cool cities.(world population)

The second main reason is the huge cost of making a cool city. US$20 Billion are paid to make masdar city. That’s why many countries can’t afford that budget . However, one cool city in each country is not enough for all people who live there. That's why for some countries it will be impossible to do it.(masdar website).

In conclusion, Cool cities are very nice idea but it is not practical because, of the big population in the earth and the cost of it.I think cool cities is waste of time and money because one cool city will not effect that much.

foot print

Human activity is the mean reason of the green house effect. In this essay I will write about what carbon footprint mean, how we can measure our foot print, I will compare my foot print with my friends in the class and some idea to reduce our carbon footprint.

Carbon Footprint is a measure of the impact our activities have on the environment. It depends in the amount of greenhouse gases we produce in a day. And it has units of tones (or kg) of carbon dioxide equivalent.

We can measure our Carbon footprint from different web sites, one of them is HeroesoftheUAE.com. First you should answer some questions about your way of living and it majored the percentages of the carbon footprint that we consume, also the footprint.wwf.org.uk web site, which collected the percent of food, items, transport, and home stuff that we use in our life.

I got 1.4 carbon footprint from HeroesoftheUAE.com although my classmates got a higher band from me which are 2.3 and 1.8 carbon footprint because there have a bigger houses than me. Also from footprint.wwf.org.uk I got 3.6 carbon footprints. This time I was in the top. My classmates got 2.1 and 3.2. That because my family like to travel every year.

To conclude, we should care about footprint because it effects our life and the environment around us. One way to do this is to try to use other power resources like solar system. Another solution is to reduce our using of oil and electricity

the reviewof " an Inconvenient Truth"

In An Inconvenient Truth, the movie talks about global warming which the earth faces. The movie talks about the problem of global warming and some possible solutions for it. Some people like Al Gore’s talk and the others do not. In this blogs, I will talk about some positive ideas and some negative ones.

First as a positives idea for An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore hangs on with his idea. So he attracts people's attention. As Paul Arendt said in his Reviewed in BBC films website, Al Gore was not a movie star, but he does a lot to have a really great slide show.

Now let us look at why An Inconvenient Truth got negative views, the film is not accurate as Gregg Easterbrook said in the thinksmart.typepad.com website. The movie estimated the sea level, and some other things. So, Al Gore wants to make the things bigger to take care of it for all people.

As a conclusion, I agree with Al Gore, because he has a big view in global warming, so he wants people to take care of the planet. No matter what others say about him. We have to preserve the earth to live in it for a better life.
